London Calling

When I attended the Powerade Launch of Neil Etheridge and they announced that the official drink of the London Olympics was the new Powerade Ion 4, and then Neil confessed that he actually enjoyed going to the ballet and the theatre, memories of my LONDON trip came rushing back. My favorite thing about London is that so many of the sights are within walking distance of each other. Plus, when you are finally exhausted, there are lovely gardens, such as Kensginton, Kew, Chelsea and so many more.

Buckingham Palace without the crowds and the royal family on the balcony, which actually makes it easier to appreciate its majesty.

Westminster Abbey, where poets and kings are buried side by side.

The Thames River, the lifeblood of the old city of London. In the background, the London Eye.

London's double decker red buses.

The gate to Kensington Palace, the London residence of Kate and William.

A minute's rest in Kensington Gardens, outside Kensington Palace.

It takes several tries to master the Tube, but it is super convenient.

Covent Garden, the site of quaint shops and cafes.

Our new best friend in London, Carlos from Colombia. London is truly a very ethnically diverse city.

Outside Harrod's, one of the most famous department stores in the world, previously owned by Mohammed al Fayed who then sold it last year to the royal family of Qatar.

In the basement of Harrod's is the Diana and Dodi memorial.

Harvey Nichols, the hangout of Patsy and Edina of iconic 90s fashion satire Absolutely Fabulous.

When London calls, it's always a good idea to return.

Power to the People!

Especially the ones obsessed with sports and wellness. With all the blood, sweat and tears that go into working out and playing sports, the right sports drink can really make a difference.

International football star Neil Etheridge of Fulham Football Club and the National Football Team, fondly called the Azkals, was in a meet and greet where he was introduced as the new brand ambassador of Powerade. He declares, "Dehydration is a very serious problem, ask any athlete.  So I really believe in this product."

It's all about replenishing what you release. We lose sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium as we sweat, so Powerade packs in four ions for total rehydration.

On a completely non athletic note, photos can't quite capture Neil's boyish charm, laced with lethal magnetism. Coupled with his utter politeness and professionalism, he is as complete as the product he endorses.

Drink up, with the power of all four ions, calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium.

With me.

Mooi Mooi!

One of the most memorable travels that I have in my life would have to be my visit to Amsterdam! There's something about this place that makes you feel free to do whatever you want and discover something bold, something different, something breathtaking.

Take for example Moooi! I would love to tell you all about it but I think its website pretty much sums up its very essence in the most beautiful of words:

"Opened in 2008 and with its 700m2 Moooi Showroom Amsterdam stands out as a glorious space in the colorful district "De Jordaan", known for its tiny picturesque boutiques, stores, restaurants and art galleries.

Opening the door of Moooi Amsterdam is like stepping into the centre of Moooi's heart and into a world containing extraordinary, playful realities in different scales and compositions. The perfect location to house not only a great part of the collection, but also Moooi's feeling, history, creativity, style and vision of the future. Moooi Amsterdam is the perfect setting to house Moooi's collection and deliver an authentic & lively brand experience. A meeting point full of ideas and inspiration for press, architects, designers, design lovers and Moooi's friends & fans."

So I guess there's nothing else left for me to say but "open your eyes and welcome to the world of Moooi!"

Me and Silver (the silver horse, haha). This is what would welcome you soon as you step into Moooi.

You'd need a big space (if not a room)  just for this floor lamp alone!

With Thomas, a resident of Amsterdam who led us to this wonderland!

I absolutely adore everything about Moooi. Wish I could go back soon and fall in love all over again. Thanks to Keren for taking these stunning photographs! :)
