Luxe shoes meet flip-flops in new Charlotte Olympia Havaianas Collection

One thing about me that most people know of is my love for shoes. I literally go head over heels for them! And as much as what I look for in a man is the same with what I look for in shoes; a classic sense of style, sensuous, seductive but not too overt, comfortable and not to mention with good humor too. Much like how Charlotte Olympia Dellal, the Creative Director and CEO of the brand of the same name, makes her shoes.

Inspired by the much-loved classical Hollywood cinema glamour and pin-up styles, the brand has quickly skyrocketed all across the globe, and now for the first time ever, this British luxe shoe brand shares its mark with the colors of Brazil as this year, Charlotte Olympia collaborates with the world's favorite Brazilian flip-flop brand, Havaianas!

In this new flip-flop collection, Charlotte Olympia Havaianas, brings 3 fun feminine designs embracing the color palette of gold, blush, red and leopard prints that's just right for that perfect day at the beach:

Kitty Havaianas is a black Havaianas Slim flip-flop pair with a metallic light gold Kitty face on the sole accompanied with contrasting gold straps. The purr-fect way to make a purr-suasive statement! Don't you think, ladies?

Then, there is Charlotte's Web Havaianas, with blush pink Top shape featuring a stylized web repeat pattern on the sold and stunning golden spider web pins lined along the straps. Just the footwear to match that lovely girly pin-up look!

The third design features Charlotte Olympia's favorite animal mascot-- Bruce the Leopard, in Bruce Havaianas. With a red Top shape and a roaring Bruce the leopard illustrated in the soles, it's hard not to contain that sexy inner wildcat in you.

With all 3 designs adding a splash of pizazz to your swimsuits and fashionable beach wear, the Charlotte Olympia Loves Havaianas collection makes a totally irresistible find. And things just got better as these fancy flip-flops are very much accessible to get now that's it's officially here in Manila when Havaianas Philippines launched the Havaianas Charlotte Olympia colelction  at the Love Candy Pie shop in Bonifacio Global City, last September 27!

The  collection will only be exclusively sold in Love Candy Pie shop in BGC, so go ahead and get into that hot summer dress and check out which Havaianas Charlotte Olympia pair matches it best!

THE PHILIPPINE FASHION BALL 2016: WHAT COMES NEXT

Nowadays, it seems like everything is always on the move, rushing forward and ever-changing.  But for fashion, it is only nature.

Fashion chases on with the time, clinging on the essence of the now. Though in each of its revolution, it's also important to acknowledge its heritage and to honor its past. And that is exactly what the Philippine Fashion Ball sets out to do, as this grand annual event celebrates with the movers and innovators of the fashion industry and gives honorable recognition to those established names who have long contributed to it. And now on its 6th year, the Philippine Fashion Ball highlights the new names of fashion designers of the generation. And with the help of online pioneer Lazada, the ball made a fun new trend to party hard and shop at the same time.

In the event, guests wore their best Punk formal ensembles which suited the fresh and cool new atmosphere as Punk is known for its independence from the usual fashion norms with its bold and brave character and it was only appropriate as the night prepares to commemorate 5 of the most established young bloods in the industry -- designers Bea Samson, RJ Santos, Esme Palaganas, Rik Rasos and Patrick Bondoc.

Of course the commemorations wouldn't stop there as 9 other deserving fashion groundbreakers were given recognition as well. The first two awardees were renowned makeup artists Omar Ermita and Robbie Piñera for their outstanding expertise in their field. For the modeling sector, 2 of Manila's top models Jodilly Pendre and Miko Raval both received awards including the ever radiant supermodel Izza Gonzales-Agana. For the mastery of fashion photography, it was the talented Paolo Pineda who was deemed worthy of recognition for his captivating results. Industry awards were also give out to Creative Director Eldzs Mejia and Exec. Editor Geolette Esguerra who represented their team in METRO Magazine  for their powerful MetroWear fashion campaign, Style Weekend magazine Editor-in-Chief Liza Ilarde and Preview magazine Editor-in-Chief Isha Andaya-Valles for their passion, dedication and contributions to the fashion world through their respective mediums.

The event also congratulated 5 of the Best-Dressed awardees of the night-- the very fashionable stylist siblings Daryl and Andre Chang, ADHD Magazine's Cenon Norial III and Mav Bernerdo and model Julls Culas.

As co-presenters of this year's event, Lazada Philippines also gave out a reward voucher woth P30,000 to supermodel Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez for winning the night's #PFB2016XLAZADA contest as well.

The fashion realm is indeed a rather vast and complex collective visual display of creative talent, but those within it know another world. It may take a while to understand it but truly there is more to it than meets the eye. And as the 6th Philippine Fashion Ball ended the night with success, those who have partaken in it will continue living on the country's fashion legacy that will be passed down from one generation to the next.
