Havaianas, the world's favorite Brazilian flip-flop
brand has definitely outdone itself this year with its launch of MYOH!
It was a complete throwback experience last May 3 as I, media guests and flip-flop
fans alike gathered at the Cable Car in
Pasay Road, Makati City for the most massive flip-flop customization event in
the country, Make Your Own Havaianas!
And this time, MYOH
unravels a different inspiration from its usual scenic-themes and takes
everyone for a spin back in time to the totally rad era of the '90s!
Everyone enjoyed the thrill in flip-flop customizing as this
year’s cool new pieces include a commemorative pair that comes in a classic
black sole with colorful pixels inspired by the 8-bit video games that was ‘the
bomb’ during the '90s decade, and a new set of '90s-themed glow-in-the-dark
pins ranging from throwback icons of a TV, cassette tape, boom box, and a video
game icon! I'm sure everyone also digs the new special pins designed with
lightning bolt, smiley, star, lips, and the letters M-Y-O-H too!
But what was even more awesome to look forward to here was
that for the first time ever, Havaianas made use of the new 3D printing
technology that can customize and print your pins with different initials!
Local celebrities and personalities even joined in all the
excitement as they got to mix and match their own Havaianas pairs as well.
