Share and Share a Like

Say my name, say my name sang Destiny’s Child and as Jasmin Vinculado of Coca Cola said, “Isn’t it so Filipino to share and make someone happy? And doesn’t it make it better when you share a Coke with your mom and it says Nay?”

After the fun fashion show with Bench clothes and the Happiness Brand Ambassadors Enchong Dee, Julia Montes, and Joseph Marco, we all patiently queued to type our names onn our Coke bottles. Friends messaged us to get their own bottles too and as soon as we posted them, they were ecstatically posting “a million thanks!” and when I see my own bottle, I do feel the happiness of that day and all the friends who shared this day with me. Just like the phrases that flashed across the screen: Because you’re the best travel buddy: Because you make everyone happy. ; Because we are family. There are a million and one ways to be a friend, and now you can put their names to show just how much you share.

Start sharing right now, until the next big campaign!

Sharing happiness with Coca-Cola FEMSA Asia Division Chief Operating Officer Juan Ramon Felix CastaƱeda, Coca-Cola Philippines Marketing Director Jasmin Vinculado, Coca-Cola Philippines Public Affairs and Communications Vice President Adel Tamano, and Bench/ Chairman & CEO Ben Chan with Happiness Ambassadors Enchong Dee, Julia Montes, and Joseph Marco

Contiki: A Story of a Journey and the Journey of a Story

Though Contiki was founded way back in 1962, it is still 50 years young. As travel and the young people who see the world grow and evolve, the Contiki experience has become a more vivid and dynamic way to see the world. The Contiki Storytellers best exemplifies this new ethos. The first ever Filipino Contiki storytellers Nicky and Mikael Daez documented their sojourn to Costa Rica, and the eloquent and personable Mikael declared it the best journey of his life. "Travel can really make you grow as a person and the group and the activities that Contiki puts together will give you a truly fresh perspective."

Mikael was wowed by the experience of witnessing a giant turtle lay its eggs, and then learning about conservators work in tracking and tracing these eggs. He was incredulous that Costa Rica limits their development on their most beautiful beaches. He adds. "They are by no means a rich country . They are Third World just as we are; but the way they love the environment and protect it is such a part of their culture. We have a long way to go but that why I am so excited to share this story."

Traveling with a diverse group also deepens the experience. Mikael shares. " they were from all over the world. One guy is a professional YouTuber and he really got me thinking of how to make my videos. One girl was determined to have a journalists career but she spent one month in Africa, and then stayed two years! She just stayed with friends and friends of friends. Each and every person in the group really impacted me In a different way."

Kevin Khor of the Contiki Regional Office summed it up best: "We are all storytellers." And even the simplest story can change the world.

Just daydreaming about adventure already makes me feel more adventurous!

An exciting way to travel!

Yes we are!!!

Joseph Joseph

I’m always excited to see my favorite Joseph Marco on the cover of magazines. It’s as if something new has happened to him every time he is featured in one. This time though, Joseph and Garage Magazine have really outdone themselves!

Joseph is Garage’s June issue cover, with shots taken at the heavenly St. James’s Park in London. The cover perfectly captured the month’s theme – Alfresco – with Joseph looking hot and dapper amid cherry blossoms and luscious green grass. Makes me want to go on a picnic!

Thanks to Doc Marlon, Joseph’s photo look so divine! He was able to magnify the already screaming beauty of St. James’s Park, making it look so much more like paradise.

Of course Peps Silvestre did not disappoint with Joseph’s immaculate grooming that was perfect for the scene.

The photo shoot was also recorded on video by Fold Canela, can’t wait to see it and the inside pages of Garage’s June issue!

Kudos to Garage EIC Rey Ilagan and his team!

Toby's Estate

I read once that coffee is the most traded item in the world, more than oil even! So it is no surprise that coffee shops continue to evolve and increase. The newest coffee craze is often called the Third Wave coffee shop; the first was coffee as a straightforward beverage, then the ubiquitous coffee chain and now, the specialized chain. With its own actual estate in Panama, Toby's Estate had special beans blended and brewed and you can truly taste it. And with a decor that's industrial and urban, completely stocked with insider magazines such as Love and CRFashion Notebook, it is the place to be.

Hmm What to order?

Decided to have a thirst-quenching Iced Flat White!

And of course, my favorite Pistachio Cheesecake! Yummy!

Brownies of different size and textures!

Love the see-through kitchen.

A mix of industrial and urban feel.

Marian Rivera for Hana: Naturally Beautiful

New face of HANA: Marian Rivera

I had a very beautiful afternoon last Monday, May 26, at the New World Hotel in Makati. It was the official launch of Marian Rivera as the new and first ever celebrity endorser of Shokubutsu Hana Shampoo in the country.

Marian really is the perfect choice for Hana, a brand that believes real beauty is the kind that is achieved naturally. And if anyone could be a role model for natural beauty, that would be no other than Marian.

She was so simple in her press conference, dressed in a floral dress, with her long hair hanging down her back. But she looked so pristine! When she came out on stage, it was as if a goddess appeared out of nowhere.

Marian also gamely and boldly answered all the questions thrown her way.

She said she is able to do this by being confident about herself, adding that as long as she’s being real and true to herself, she can answer any question with her head high.

Thanks to Hana, I’m really glad there is finally a brand, and a woman with a voice that can be heard, that promotes natural beauty. Marian will definitely inspire more women to be proud of who they are, naturally.
