Naples, Italy

In the movie Eat, Pray, Love, when Liz, as portrayed by Julia Roberts, needs a break from the chaos and cacophony of Rome, she takes a bus to Naples and has an almost orgasmic experience with a pizza. Pizza was invented in Naples, and the movie is no exagerration. We were walking along Naples' ancient streets when we followed the scent into a family pizzeria and had the best pizza of our lives. Sadly, we lost their card, but at least we still have the memories.

Naples is one of the oldest cities in the world, and its old center is considered a UNESCo world heritage site. So there is a lot to listen to when we plug into our recorded tours in the HoHo, or Hop on Hop off bus.

The Castel Nuovo is one of the most prominent landmarks that can be viewed from the port of Naples, which is second only to Hong Kong in terms of tourist arrivals.

Market, market. For centuries, agriculture has been the top industry in the Neapolitan region, so produce abounds.

Kiss on my list. The bite size goodies, sprinkled with cheese being taken out are called Baci, or kisses. Heaven in a bite!

It would have been criminal to miss the pizza in Naples.

Street art is alive and well.

Buildings in Naples range from Clasical, medieval and Baroque.

Mt. Vesuvius looms over the Bay of Naples, and this glorious arch.

Ciao, Naples! We shall return!
