Timex Run now in Cebu and Davao!

I may not look much of a runner, but here's one sports meet I'll definitely join in. Cebu and Davao, here I come! August is the month where I'm putting my rubber shoes on for Timex Run Cebu and Timex Run Davao! Much like when Timex had its titled sponsored run in Manila last January 22, 2012.

This time around, Coach Rio Dela Cruz will be joined by celebrities and Timex endorsers, Maricel and Anthony Pangilinan together with the rest of their family. These running celebrities will be in Cebu for the Timex Run Cebu on August 19, 2012 and Timex Run Davao on August 26, 2012.

Team Pangilinan is a family of runners and triathletes. From the parents to the kids, they all train hard and compete together as a family. They are an inspiration to everyone that a family can stay fit and healthy together. The father and husband, Anthony Pangilinan, is a management trainer, motivational speaker, and productivity consultant. You can catch him his Teleradyo program, Magbago Tayo at Aksyon TV5. As head of the family, he truly is a leader and an inspiration. Last year, it was his first time to do a full marathon at the New York City Marathon. This was made possible by the support of Timex.

His wife, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan is an award-winning actress and author of 5 books. Both Maricel and Anthony are seasoned athletes as they have competed in different races both here and abroad. This year, Timex is sending Maricel to the prestigious New York City Marathon.

Their children, Ella, Donny, Hannah, and Benj have won different awards in the field of multisport. They are actively competing in different races in Alabang, Subic, and in Manila just to name a few. In a few years time, we just might see baby Solana take on the field and run her own race!

Cebu runners can register starting on July 02 until August 12, 2012 at the Philippine Sports Commission Office Region 7, Cebu City Sports Center from 9am – 7pm and at The Active Zone (near Bread Talk), Ayala Center Cebu from 11am – 8pm. Registration fees are at Php400 (5KM), Php500 (10KM) and Php600 (16KM).

Davao runners can register starting on July 09 until August 19, 2012 at Timex Shop Abreeza Mall from 11am to 8pm and Timex Shop in SM from 11am to 8pm also. Registration fees are at Php400 (5KM), Php500 (10KM) and Php600 (16KM).

The race categories are designed for beginners, fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and casual runners.

Of course, no event would be complete without some prizes. The first male and first female finisher of the 16K category will receive the new Timex Run Trainer watch while second and third placers will also receive a Timex watch. As for the 10K and 5K categories, top three male and top three female finishers from both categories will receive a watch. Also, all registered participants will get 20% discount on all Timex watches worth P3, 000 and above! They can claim it before race day until September 30, 2012.
