Last May, I have witnessed an extraordinary launch at the Bonifacio Global City for the Brazilian flip-flop brand, Ipanema. Creatures of mystical origins danced it off onstage, in elaborate makeups and choreography that transformed the evening into a spectacle. A number of stylistas (social butterflies as they were called these days) graced the event, which put the spotlight on the sassy new Ipanema collection of bright hues and bold patterns unique to the brand’s style reputation.
Different creatures showed off their dancing skills while embracing the boldness of the newest collection, which made me real excited when I got the official invites to the Davao launch of the Brazilian brand. On October 12, Friday, Davao will experience the magic at the Abreeza Mall Activity Center where the Ipanema Urban Jungle Fashion Show will once again astonish viewers in a feast of the senses like no other. So, dare I say, brace yourselves Davao!
