Awarding a Kapamilya

Everyone knows that the Star Magic Ball is that one night a year when almost everyone in all of tv and films come together to celebrate the anniversary of Star Magic. Last September 1, I, together with the most beautiful and talented faces you can think of, went to the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri La Hotel to celebrate this grand occasion. Thank God, I didn’t come unprepared. When Star Magic said they’d go all out in celebration of their 20 years, you bet they meant it! Good food, good laughs and a whole lot of good-looking people made this night unforgettable. And of course, the Star Magic Ball wouldn’t be complete without the awards. The night’s awardees included Direk Jojo Saguin (Transformer Award), Abby Niesta (It’s More Fun in Star Magic Award), Carmina Villaroel (Hot Mama Award), Gerald Anderson (Hot Papa Award), Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo (Breakout Style Award), Maricar Reyes and Richard Poon (Moet & Chandon Fab Pair Award), and Julia Barretto and Julian Estrada (Prince and Princess Awards). Malou Santos of Star Cinema received the Box Office Queen award while Cory Vidanes was awarded Super Mom and Bossing Award. Julia Montes was chosen Sweetheart of the Night. Xian Lim and Kim Chiu was awarded O+ Couple of the Night. Enchong Dee and Maja Salvador were chosen as the Male and Female Stars of the Night. Bea Alonzo was well applauded when she received the Jaw-dropping Stunner Award while Coco Martin was named as the Star Magic Standout. Capping the slew of awards, Angelica Panganiban and Diether Ocampo were awarded the Star Magic Icons.
