Why Not by Leah Puyat: Bench Universe: A feast of the senses

It may very well be that time of the year when all of us, I mean, ALL of us are just waiting what the Bench Universe billboards peppered across the metro really has to offer. And why not?! Men and women, celebrities and model dressed down and oiled up—it’s a grand parade of beauties and hotties all dressed in the country’s biggest clothing brand. I got the invites to this year’s fashion extravaganza and I can’t even tell you how excited I was to see the latest offerings of Bench (laughs). But you know I was meant to count abs and drool over the hottest models in their skimpy underwear! And of course, when it’s under Mr. M and Robby Carmona’s direction, expect it to be explosive and sexified. The show was a success and my eyes are more than satisfied. Kim Chiu came out like a modern day Venus, garbed in what looked like a staple in goddesses’ wardrobes in Olympus. Roaring applause came in hot men Joseph Marco, Enchong Dee (who, for me, deserved a standing O in his stellar entrance), Diether Ocampo in his motor bike and drool-worthy abs to boot, and Coco Martin who drew girls and girls-at-heart in a collective shriek. Paulo Avelino was ravishing just like the fantabulous walks of Bianca Manalo, Georgina Wilson and of course, Melai Canteveros, GORGEOUS in her bodice gown and ex-flame, Jason Francisco, next to her. IT WAS A COMPLETE PARADE OF HOTNESS. A fabulous show of Filipino creativity and noteworthy vision. Ben Chan came out in the end, shortly after the performance of Far East Movement and I just stood up and clapped my darndest. A true class act. Bench for more years!
