Why Not by Leah Puyat: O+ at the Red Carpet

I have to give props to the people behind O+ and its entry to Philippine shores. The US-based Android phone series is at it again, heralding this year’s most prestigious gathering of TV and movie celebrities. The 6th year success of the Star Magic Ball was made possible by this hip and happening phone in town. I went to the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri La Hotel feeling dance-y, while wearing my to-die-for heels. It’s just so amazing to know how O+ partners with fashion and entertainment to make a statement. After the program hosted by the funny John Lapus and ABS-CBN heartthrobs John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual, we trooped to the dance hall with projected screen images of O+ and its video montage of behind-the-scenes footages from their partnership with PMAP. O+ also actively participated in Magic for a Cause, giving enough to support the Star Magic scholars, which is actually one of the driving forces of the event. While the night was young, the country’s biggest stars gamely danced to the beat of today’s hottest tunes. Ball gowns flowing and dolled up celebrities all gathered in one dance floor - it was like a scene lifted from a glamorous Hollywood film.
